CopySense® Basic Delivers High Quality Copyright Media Detection Service for Small-to-Medium UGC Websites
Los Gatos, CA, April 8, 2008 Audible Magic Corporation, a leading provider of content management services to the digital media and entertainment industries, today announced availability of a free version of it’s CopySense Content Identification Service called CopySense Basic, targeted at smaller websites.
“By offering an affordable service that identifies copyrighted content, we’ve eliminated a significant legal and financial barrier in building and funding new UGC websites,” said Vance Ikezoye, Founder and CEO of Audible Magic. “We expect this action will encourage stronger growth of successful UGC sites, increasing the overall market with which we hope to do business.”
The free CopySense Basic service, provided by Audible Magic servers, enables website owners to take a fingerprint of unknown content and check that against Audible Magic database of registered copyright content. A response is returned if the content owner has registered a business rule associated with its copyrighted content. This enables the site to block protected content. Companies may use CopySense Basic for a single domain and up to 300 transactions per day.
To get access to CopySense Basic, website owners register their sites at www.audiblemagic.com and within a few hours can be up and running.
Audible Magic offers additional and affordable services for larger websites or multi-domain companies that have greater needs; require revenue enhancement services such as access to meta data; or require customization of the service to meet their business needs.
