Los Gatos, CA, September 10, 2008 Audible Magic Corp. has signed customer agreements to provide its CopySense® Content Identification Services to four leading mobile entertainment companies: FunForMobile, mywaves, myxer and ThumbPlay. These new agreements, along with two other recent agreements with Nokia and Phonezoo, propel Audio Magic into the burgeoning $3.1 billion mobile entertainment marketplace and enable its new customers to ensure copyright compliance across their millions and millions of downloads of music, ringtones and videos each month.
“The ubiquity of cell phones, MP3 players and other mobile devices coupled with the ever growing desire of users to customize these devices with downloadable content have heightened the need for copyright identification,” said Vance Ikezoye, president and CEO of Audible Magic. “The bottom line is that no one supports unauthorized use of original material. And as content owners rightfully demand that their works be protected or tracked for revenue, more and more companies are turning to us to provide the content management services they require.”
Audible Magic’s patented “fingerprinting” technology and its extensive database of audio and video content enable it to uniquely identify, track and manage content, preventing unauthorized downloads and protecting the copyrights of content owners. Its rigorous and accurate technology fulfills the need for cost-effective copyright protection, while satisfying the demand for legal content downloads.
