Global Coverage: Audible Magic maintains registries of reference fingerprints for music, movie, and television content. Content owners from around the world register the content they own and control directly with Audible Magic, generally pre-release. To date, content owners have registered more than 12 million titles with us. When an operator issues a lookup request and a match occurs against a reference in the registry, we provide metadata that includes titles, artists/actors, owners, cover art, and other related information as well as business rules such as “monetize,” “allow,” or “block.” We also offer content owners the ability to set duration-based blocking, which enables operators to show short clips from larger videos but not longer ones. Custom Content: A registry of submitted content (also known as “take-down, stay-down content”) is available as well. This enables operators to maintain registries made up entirely of their own content. This is valuable, for example, when operators need to respond to DMCA notices or deal with uploaded adult content. Operators may also specify by content owner which content they want to filter.

Fast & Accurate: Within seconds, operators can check each file uploaded to a site for copyrighted music, movie, or television content. Using Audible Magic's CopySense technology, operators can achieve identification rates of 99 percent or higher for registered content with virtually zero false positives. Because this technology is based upon perceptual characteristics, identification is effective even with different file formats, codecs, compression techniques, time-scaling, and other transformations to the content.
